There are four stages in an alien's life. Here they are:
1. Egg: All aliens come from an egg which is laid by the Queen Alien.
2. Facehugger: Out of the egg comes the facehugger. This hand-like creature clamps onto a host's face and puts a chestburster
down the host's throat.
3. Chestburster: After being inside the host for a couple of hours, the chestburster will burst out of the host's chest.
Hence the name "chestburster".
4. Adult Alien: The chestburster rapidly grows into an adult alien. The chestburster's skin hardens and its head elongates.
The adult alien is able to spit acid out of its mouth. It also has a second set of jaws which can shoot out of its mouth.
