Predator (1987): An excellent action film with a great cast and an excellent monster, Predator is a classic of the silver
screen. The plot concerns an alien hunter that tries to kill a group of marines in South America. Filled with shocks and thrills
this movie is sure to please even the toughest of auiences. Rating: 9/10
Predator 2 (1990): This sequel is even better than the first Predator film and boasts Danny Glover as the new hero who
must hunt down and kill the Predator. The best part about this sequel is that we get to see a lot more of the Predator without
its mask on and we also learn more about it. Plus, since this movie takes place in L.A., there are a lot more people to fall
prey to the Predator. Don't miss this film!
Rating: 10/10
The Thing (1982): John Carpenter turns the classic balck and white "The Thing" into an epic tale of horror and
survival.
The monster effects featured in this film are absolutely dreadful and groteque. Kurt Russell does an excellent job of
playing the leading man. Rating: 8/10
Hellraiser (1987): This is by far the worst movie that I have ever seen in my entire life, and I have seen a lot of bad
movies, trust me. This movie makes the worst movie imaginable seem like a masterpiece in comparison. The main flaws are the
terrible acting, the overly gory effects and the confusing plot which makes no sense in many ways. Clive Barker's tale of
pain and suffering is butchered by himself in this horrid movie. No wonder why Clive Barker doesn't direct a lot of movies,
it is because this movie is rotten to the core. Do not ever waste your time watching this trash! Rating: 0/10
Tremors (1990): Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon make a good team in this exciting and original movie that is both funny and
scary. The plot is about giant man-eating worms that are creating havoc in a small town in Nevada. There are plenty of good
scares in this flick and there are some funny lines stuck in to entertain viewers that are not fans of horror and science
fiction. This is one of director Ron Underwood's best films. Rating: 10/10
Psycho (1960): Perhaps one of Alfred Hitchcock's most thrilling and suspenseful films, Psycho is still as scary as it
was back in 1960 when it was made. It might be a shock to you but Psycho was made on a budget of less than one million dollars!
But, this amazing film has such a shocking secret that you could never tell how cheap the film really was. The whole film's
success is based on its dreadful secret so I will say no more about it. Rating: 10/10
Dreamcatcher (2003): One Of Stephen King's best stories is wonderfully brought to life in this scary and suspenseful tale
of friendship and an unspeakable evil force. Jason Lee provides a few laughs during his short screen time. The offbeat ending
could have bee a little better, but after all, no one's perfect. Rating: 9.5/10
A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984): Perhaps one of the most highly liked horror films of all time, this film, in my opinion,
is a piece of junk! The acting isn't great and the special effects are primative and corny.
To top it all off, the weird ending makes little sense at all. Rating: 5/10
The Exorcist (1973): The Exorcist is truely a classic of the silver screen, even though most of its special effects no
longer pack a lot of punch.
The story, involving a girl who is possessed by the Devil, is detailed and it is always interesting.
Max von Sydow is excellent as the exorcist. Rating: 10/10
The Howling (1981): A rotten egg. Other then that one short sentence, there is very little more to describe this terrible
film directed by Joe Dante. Dante hits much closer to home in Gremlins and in Gremlins 2. Oh yeah, the special effects are
the worst that I have ever seen in a werewolf movie! Rating: 2/10
Jeepers Creepers (2001): Even though this flick has no famous actors in it and it is directed by a no name director, Jeepers
Creepers is a smash hit! It is one of the very few good horror movies of this decade. The plot: Two siblings are driving home
from University on a barren road, when they are suddenly stalked by a mysterious, cloaked figure. This is a good movie, and
you'll like it if you are a fan of Talles From The Crypt. Followed by a good sequel. Rating: 8.5/10
Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003): This sequel to the 2001 hit is just as good as the original, but it does lack some of the intensity
of the first one.
A group of high school kids are trapped on a bus and are being stalked by the imfamous "Creeper".
If you like the first one, you'll like this one. Rating: 8.5/10
Halloween (1978): This is a so-so slasher flick. Not much more to say. Rating: 7/10
Aliens vs Predator (2004): A disapointment to fans of the Alien and Predator series, this no-frills flick features the
two famous monsters fighting eachother for the first time ever. This film is okay, but the story involving a Predator Temple
in the Anarctic is just pure nonsense. Rating: 7/10
Godzilla (1998): Although this film is not scary, it is a science fiction fan's dream come true! The new Godzilla in this
movie looks like a T. Rex from Jurassic Park, and because of this the green, giant lizard looks better than ever.
The plot: Godzilla ends up in New York City and begins to destroy everything around it.
A must see! Rating 10/10
Jurassic Park (1993): The best dinosaur movie ever made, Steven Speilberg will be forever known for this amazing film!
Jeff Goldblum is fantastic as a zany scientist, but the main stars of this flick are the Dinos, and they look outstanding!
The T. Rex is the best. Rating: 10/10
The Shining (1980): "Here's Johnny!" With a line like that coming from Jack Nicholson, who wouldn't like this
film! Rating: 10/10
